Am I qualified to join [EPIC] First of all, we are looking for members who are
mature,
friendly,
active, able to enjoy relaxing with fellow guild members, and dedicated to the guild. We are a guild with a friendly environment in which they can relax, have a good time, and enjoy themselves with raiding and pvp.
Activity is an extremely important part of guild EPIC. It is preferred that members are consistently active in our servers, Ventrilo, and on the website. Members must be active in Ventrilo when raiding. For instructions regarding the download and installation of Ventrilo, please see the section entitled 'How do I install and set up Vent'?. We greatly prefer that applicants have a microphone in order to better socialize with clan members, although this is not required. .
How does the recruiting process work? First, you must post an application that follows the application format. Please continue reading through all of this thread before posting an application.
guild members will then recommend you or not. After the application has been posted for a 7-12 days and at least 3 positive recommendations are posted by clan members, your application will then be closed and officers will vote for 3-5 days as to whether or not you will be allowed into the clan. By the end of the fourth day, an announcement will be posted in your application stating whether you were accepted or denied. Note: To have the best chances to get into the guild, we recommend that you be as active as possible with epic members and on this website. If your application does not meet the requirements in the time allowed, it will be discarded and you may apply again once you have remedied the situation by fixing whatever you were denied for.
How does the 'recommendation' (or rec) system work?Recs are given based on a clan member's opinion of a recruit - so recruits: the best way to get recs is to be friendly and active (on the forums, and socialize with clan member_. Recruits, if you are lacking in recs, an excellent way to get your name known is to talk/heroics with any of ours epic members . That way, you'll be able to meet and play with [at least] 4 clan members, boosting your chance of being rec'd (as long as you're friendly and act maturely). Hint: Begging for 'recs' will not get you anywhere. If you want more recs, you need to be friendly and more active in Vent, and on these forums.

How do I install and set up Ventrilo? This section is intended to provide a complete step-by-step guide of how to setup Ventrilo. If you already have Vent installed and have joined our Vent, you may skip this section. Note: All recruits and clan members are required to have vent.
First, download and install version 3.0.1 of Ventrilo from here For Windows Users or here For Mac Users.
Once you have installed Vent, you will find a screen with three boxes at the top. Click on the arrow to the right of the User Name space, click new, and type the display name you would like. Then hit OK and click on the arrow to the right of the Server space. You will find a screen that looks similar to this, except without any information filled in the boxes. Click 'New' and you'll be prompted to enter a name; EPIC H or EPIC and hit OK. Then, fill in the boxes with the following information:
Enter the following information in the proper space

Leave the Default Channel blank and check all of the boxes underneath the server info spaces. Click OK, and you will see a message that says 'Server is available. Press connect.' Of course, press connect, read the Message of the Day that will pop up, and be sure to follow the rules.
Once you are in Vent, click on Setup on the right-hand side, and under the Voice tab you will see three important boxes that need to be checked:

Use Push-to-Talk Hotkey (PTT MODE)
Use Direct Input to detect Hotkey
Once you have checked these options, you may see that underneath these options, there is a box labeled 'Hotkey'. Click inside this box, and press the key you would like to use as a hotkey in Vent. Whenever you want to use your mic and speak in Vent, you will have to press and hold this button down, so choose something that will be comfortable and easily reachable. Hint: It is a good idea to make sure your hotkey is not a key you use while in game.
Application format - you MUST follow this format when applying!First of all, create a new topic in the Apply Here section (this section) and title it with your name. Then, please copy and answer all of the following questions (honestly, of course).
